Experiences in USA
I moved to California in 1996. I now live in Oakland. Some of my highlights include:
- Being president of the Association for Dispute Resolution of Northern California. With a membership of over 350, we represent mediators and others involved in alternative forms of dispute resolution.
- Serving as managing editor of Mediate.com-the most visited web site for information about mediation and conflict resolution on the Internet. I am responsible for content and a bi-weekly newsletter that is sent to over 10 000 readers.
- Directing the certificate program (in organizational conflict management) at JFK University. We offer the only certificate in organizational conflict management, that doesn’t focus on mediation.
- Participating in the In The Street Festival in San Francisco through the EAR project. I make myself available for people to talk about their conflict at this important art festival in the Tenderloin, San Francisco.
